Hunting

Ljubovija is surrounded by mountain hunting grounds that are rich in various species game animals and predators, including roe deer, pheasants, wild ducks, badgers, rabbits, wild boars, wolves, foxes, wild cats, jackals, bears and others.
The hunting association "Baurić" was founded in 1900, and is one of the oldest hunting associations founded on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, which has been successfully operating and managing the hunting grounds all this time continuously. It is very well organized and has over 300 members, but counting hunting enthusiasts is constantly increasing. The hunting association manages the "Bukovica" hunting ground, which covers 35,624 hectares and which is rich in wild game, the most numerous of which is roe deer, followed by wild boar.
During 2016, a reproductive center for the artificial breeding of wild boars was established on the territory of the "Bukovica" hunting ground, which located in the "Sarići" settlement. The center has individuals, autochthonous wild boars, which are intended for reproduction, breeding and later release into nature, in order to increase the number of this game in nature, which will ultimately result in an increase in the hunting and tourism offer of the municipality of Ljubovija. In March 2017, the hunting association started activities on the rehabilitation of the pheasantry building in Grabovica and the construction of a modern aviaries for artificial breeding of pheasant chickens. Every year, a large number of pheasants are raised in artificial breeding and during the year are released into the hunting ground, which also contributes to the greater number of hunting game in the "Bukovica" hunting ground and also increases the hunting and tourist offer of the "Baurić" Ljubovija National Park.
In 2025, the association plans to build a reception and breeding center in the Baurić hunting area. for artificial cultivation and in During this year, it is planned to inhabit the hunting ground with mouflon game, which is a rarity in Serbia.
The settlement of chamois in the canyon of the river Trešnjica in the future hunting area of ​​Ramna Gora - Boškovac is also coming, and this will fully improve the hunting and tourism offer in the coming period. The hunting ground is extremely rich in roe deer, and in addition, efforts are being made to increase the number of pheasants and wild boars artificially. breeding and controlled release into a hunting ground that has excellent predispositions and conditions for a quality life of almost all types of game wild game. Additional feeding activities that are properly carried out every year, such as taking ready-made food to the hunting ground at the feeders, and as well as sowing, work is being done to increase the number and trophy value. All the mentioned activities influenced hunting tourism to be an extremely promising branch of the tourism offer of the municipality of Ljubovija.

"Baurić" organizes the traditional Wolf Hunt, which attracts an increasing number of hunters and tourists.
