The chapel has two-winged, latticed doors, and there is a fresco-icon in the interior The Virgin with Jesus, the work of the painter Živorad Nastasijević. The area around this monument was fenced off in 1936. At on the pillars of the gate are two memorial plaques with verses by Vojislav Ilić Younger:

"Unknown brother, when you meet on the road,
Stop walking for a moment,
And stop here where the victims sleep,
From the great struggle for freedom.
Pay homage to her holy ossuary
And he admonished himself, closing the door:
That right means more than force,
And that David is a cruel Goliath." - the first plate

"Yugoslavs, oh, native brothers,
Reject those arguments and friction everyone!
Swear on love and harmony
So it will be easy for us in the grave too!" - second plate

Between the pillars and above the door is the inscription "Fatherland to fallen heroes".

In memory of the victims, every year in September the municipalities of Ljubovija and Krupanj organize a memorial service historical hour, which gathers a large number of citizens, war participants, representatives of state, military and cultural organizations.
There is silence on the Mačkov kamen. The forest, which disappeared during the fighting, has grown again. It's probably the same as before the battle. From the very top of Mačkovo kamen there are beautiful views towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Drina, and Azbukovica.
