On Saturday, the traditional Drina regatta was held in Ljubovia, which this year was held gathered an extremely large number of participants. About 1,000 vessels with about 20,000 participants cruised the Drina, sending beautiful pictures from Ljubovija.
The Drina Regatta was opened by the Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Jelena Žarić Kovačević, and the opening was attended by the President of the Municipality of Ljubovija Milan Jovanović, director Jelena Topalović of the tourism organization of the municipality of Ljubovija and the promoter of the regatta, our famous basketball player, Branko Lazić.
Regatta participants had the opportunity to enjoy military beans, which were prepared in Gornja Trešnjica, an indispensable place for rest and refreshment before continuing the journey to the destination in Ljubovia. In the evening, the regatta continued with an entertainment program that included concerts organized by by the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija and concerts organized by the After festival. At the concert in Dejan Cukić and Neverne Bebe performed on Saturday at the newly built swimming pool, and the day before at the same place rt was held by the Amadeus band.
